Tomb Kings Cavalry 02/05/26

The Warhammer group that I am part of make an annual trip down to Warhammer World in Nottingham to hang out, play some bigger games and to spend a small fortune on plastic. In 2025 we all decided to get in to The Old World, a move that I was incredibly keen about, because boy howdy do I love these little skeleton boys!

These are the first models that I have painted for my Tomb Kings army; a Liche Priest on Skeletal Steed and a block of 8 Skeletal Cavalry with Cavalry Spears and Full Leadership Complement. I have loosely based my Tomb Kings army on the Exiles of Nehek insofar as I didn’t want to paint them the regular Blue/Yellow/Gold as I much prefer painting Reds and Yellows and the EoN heraldry from Total War Warhammer III fits that colour scheme really well.

I have quite a few Tomb Kings models already (partly because they are yet another Horde Army for my collection) but these are the only ones that are fully painted so far – It is by far the game we are playing the most as a group at the moment though; and the Tomb Kings seem to be incredibly well matched against my regular Goblins and Cathay opponents as they have an unprecedented (for me at least) 4 wins from 4 games. Their regeneration ability combined with their immunity to psychology seem to be incredibly powerful, and are hardly dampened by their inability to march.
