Chaos Space Marine Havoks 11/07/26

It’s the first of my Chaos Space Marines this week; with a unit of Havoks. I have been collecting the combat patrol magazine this year and so have ended up with a decent chunk of models from a variety of armies – most of which I have chosen to use for kit bashes or sell on on eBay, but for some, I have turned them in to new armies. Chaos was pushed to the forefront though, with a friend of mine looking to get rid of an old edition starter box half (7th or 8th maybe?) that basically skyrocketed my CSM collection from small army, to fully blown collection.

I’ve been taking my time trying to figure out how I want my CSM army to look – I know I didn’t want to go for black and gold as is tradition, I already have a lot of red and yellow with my Guard and Space Marine collections, and I wanted to go for something that might not be super common which rules out Iron Warriors and Emperors Children that seem to be really popular at the moment.

In the end I ended up with something very loosely inspired by the HH era World Eaters scheme; using White for the armour, Dark Silver for the trim, Blue for the pauldrons and accents and then a bright Orange as a second accent colour. I think these guys really stand out, and there is a vague lore reason for them to exist too; which is nice.

There’ll probably be a lot more CSM coming in the future – I have about 2000 points primed up ready to go, so it’s just a case of getting the finished now!
