This week we have some super mutants for (what was at the time at least!) Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. In total we played maybe 3 or 4 of the introductory games from the book, but it was still enough time for me to buy and paint these, as well as some more super mutant hounds and super mutant suiciders which are unfortunately still not painted!
I had a great time painting these, using lots of rust and verdigris and blood technical paints to really bring out the grim and gritty fallout universe, whilst still using the really bright and punchy colours that I much prefer painting with.
Wasteland Warfare was/is a great little skirmish game, more story driven than Killteam but not quite as reliant on having a consistent playing group like Necromunda or Mordheim (two games that I would love to get to play at some point!) The red bases on these models signify leaders, which was what seemed to be a pretty important mechanic that we never got around to actually using all that much!
